I'm a Georgia native who grew up in Calhoun and now live in Cartersville with my wife, Kim (she's a Realtor too!), and our two amazing daughters who are both in the Magnet program at Adairsville High School.

I first got into real estate in pre-K (pre-kids haha.. 2004).. buying, selling and renting real estate for our investing business part-time while my full-time job was managing multiple IT organizations. I enjoyed real estate, but with an Atlanta commute, increasing job demands and two young daughters real estate kept getting shifted to the back burner.

In 2011 I left my job in corporate America to focus 100% on real estate AND building a better quality of life for myself & my family. I worked in our investing (buy/sell/rent) business for the first few years. That was fun, but it takes looking at dozens of properties to buy one.. I'd spend hours and hours talking with, meeting, and getting to know people to figure out how to solve their real estate needs best. In many cases, the solution was to list the property and sell it with a real estate agent.

My entire career has been SERVICE-focused, so the more people I'd refer to my real estate agent connections the more frustrated I'd feel at being unable to help more of them directly. Around that time one of my best friends, Michael Tinney, was telling me how much he was also enjoying being a licensed Realtor.. after giving it some thought I ended up getting my license as well, and - fun fact - when Mike founded Main Street Realtors he made sure I was the first agent active on the roster!

I've really enjoyed offering people more options and a unique perspective as both an experienced Realtor and someone who has sat in the buyer and seller seat many times.

Why do I love real estate so much? Real estate involves property, but it is also very much about PEOPLE & RELATIONSHIPS. I love getting to know people and being able to help them in some way (real estate or otherwise!)

Besides real estate, I love spending time with my family, exploring small towns, hiking, and cooking.
